Default Janizary's thoughts on "Slow news days"

Scouring my normal sources far and wide and there's just not much that I find interesting so far today, except the SL63/SL65 'official' release. I am having withdrawls after only having my uncle's SL550 for a night and a day. Such a nice car.

Of course, if you want Dodge Challenger news, the net is clogged with it today...

Incredibly slow news day. Unless you want to read about Mercedes 5 new models, or the Lexus IS220D (it did bad, just leave it at that )

On a positive note, the 'next' RL is now supposed to have a 400HP V8 and RWD bias. I'll believe it when I see it.

Well, there's lots of news today...if you want to read about Holden.

I suppose that translates to possible good news for Pontiac...or not, since everything seems to get castrated before it makes it here. I really wonder if a 500'ish HP G8 coupe would really be a possibility here.

There is something seriously wrong with the short change North America gets from certain car makers. I will concede (a bit) on getting short changed on many diesel models due to emissions (and "The Bad Image of Disels"), however, others just seem a blatant case of "No new cell phone models for joo" (you know what I'm talking about). Honda and GM are just a few.

Reading about this thing makes me feel a little trickle just pondering being strapped into it. I about pee'd my pants driving a Z06 a few months back, this would surely kill me.

I've taken a bug to the face on my CBR600F2 back in the day. I'm thinking about hitting a duck with my nose at 150MPH in that car, oucha.

Why ducks? Well, you'd need to find an airstrip...and get yourself a white driving suit...

Well, its just a boring day all-around. Nothing great in the BMW pot and I sat through the most boring SAP seminars todays (CRM '08). At least lunch was free.

On the way home I had to swing by the local Lexus dealer to pick up a part I ordered and a gentleman was buying an IS-F as I drove up. 60 years old if a day. He was smiling like a kid with candy. I walked over and congratulated him on the purchase. He said he had been waiting for months for it to come out. He had an M3 before the new IS-F.

I hope I am so lucky to keep my youthful perspective in another 20 years.

I am strangely attracted to this color combination:

Geneva Motor Show: 2009 BMW 1-Series Convertible (Pic link won't work for some reason)

I wonder what kind of OCD nightmare it would be to keep a white rag top clean, and the black paint swirl-free...
