Thumbs up Hello 1er's and 1er fans

Hello,

Some may already know me (and if you do, loath may be a better word ). Upcoming 135i owner saying 'Hi'. Well, 135i owner if I don't get bored between now and then and get something else, which, if you know me, if always a possibility.

Looking good so far, Webby. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

After becoming an early adopter of the Civic Si, I'll be a bit surprised if you decided to do the same with the 1-series, Rob. I think I learned my lesson and will wait at least until 2010.

Its not a big issue right now, but now and then I have an agnst moment on the rare occasion I haul around both my boys.

^I followed your smell. Take a shower and clean that hoodie.

What I'm referring to mostly is the addition of extras during each new year...extras that we missed out on for being an early adopter.

Yes, the incessant safety recalls and TSBs can be an annoyance, but not having VSA, TPMS, embroidered floor mats, and a leather shift boot has me feeling violated.

But you get a radi-cool "Year 1 of the One" start button.

Surely that makes up for all of the minor issues that might arise...eh?

Or do you suppose we will see those for sale on Ebay? lol.

Well, look at it this way:

• You don't have to worry about "will my TPMS will with these rims?"
• You live life on the edge with no VSA. (Not to mention not irritating the weasel with "How do I permanently turn off VSA?" questions.)
• Leather shift boots come from smiling creatures. You are saving a wonderful cow in the process. (Of course, getting that nice leather in your new 1-series probably offsets that...just a bit  )
• Embroidered floor mats are just another target for thieves. No one will break your window to steal your black floor mats.

See, a bright side to everything.

My two local dealers are saying 'Nein' on Euro Delivery for the time being. Apparently as the 1 is 'new' the first batches will be considered as coming out of their allocation. Coupe and Cabrio both. Locally, both have said they will be charging a MPA. I will, under no circumstances, pay a premium on a car. Period.

Snickers. That was going to be my fall vacation. Looks like Spring 09 now. "Garbage" to quote Captain Slow.

Bah. Fantabulous 'Year One of the 1' start button is not worth a 4k+ premium.

A RHT 1 Coupe would have been TMFW.

Cloth tops get eaten by the sun out here. I'm having angst.
