Some time back I had to go into a local Toyota dealership to get touch up paint. I went to the counter and told them the color I needed. They said "Do you know the color code?" I did not and they told me to go back out and look in my door panel to come back in with the code.
Flash to Lexus dealership: I am in the Lexus dealership to get, tada, touch up paint for the IS (I need to do one spot on the bumper before the clear bra goes on). I walk up to the counter and give the lady the color I need. Same response "Do you know the color code?" I say 'no' and expect to have to go back and get it from the door panel. Nope. The lady says, "take a seat in our lounge and have a cookie and some gourmet coffee sir, I'll go get your color code from your car and be right back." Okay, the Infiniti dealer was never that nice when I had my G35C. I had my cookie and coffee in the (Very NICE) lounge and smiled. It was just different. _______________ Of course, I realize after getting my touch up paint that it is shared with Toyota and could have save $5 by just going to Toyota (like I did for the oil filter). Oh well, the cookies were hot out of the oven ![]()
